Parabens
In rare cases parabens can lead to allergies, but even more important, scientists now believe that parabens can disturb the body’s hormone balance. Substances, which disturb the hormone balance, may cause early puberty in children and deformation of the genitals in newborn boys.
Hormones
Adrenocortical hormones are commonly used in anti-itch drugs. Products containing adrenocortical hormones may produce skin changes, including acne, eczema (rash), irritation or even deteriorate the skin. By excessive use they can lead to Cushing’s disease, the symptoms of which include moon face, accumulation of fat on the stomach and neck, muscular dystrophy on arms and legs, skin spots, frequent blue marks and tiredness.
